Well, having had three c-sections myself, I can tell you that I 100% wish I had a doula for all three. Not only for myself, but for my husband. My own birth experiences are the main reason I became a birth doula! During such a nerve-racking and emotionally charged experience, having a professional doula by your side just makes everything better.
Imagine entering the operating room, how do you feel? Often your partner can’t be by your side until they’re ready to begin surgery, so you’re surrounded by doctors and nurses, all getting you prepped, poked and prodded and preparing themselves as well.
